Its that time of year were many are making chili and need a nice corn bread (with real corn) to go with it. This was a family recipe that I made and it turned out perfect. You do need a flour sift to make this. If you don’t have one you can get one here. This really impressed my wife who had to have several servings!

- 1 cups cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 cup half and half
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup sweet corn fresh, canned, or thawed frozen

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- In a bowl sift together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and the salt
- Add the half and half, beaten eggs, melted butter and salt. Mix together
- Once mixed add the corn and stir only a few times
- Pour mix into a greased 9 by 9 pan
- Bake for 20-25 minutes. Check the middle to make sure its cooked
- Enjoy!
